About Me

Hi, I’m Jenny – a qualified teacher and founder of JRM Tutoring in Leek, Staffordshire.

My journey into education began 13 years ago when I volunteered at my son’s primary school, supporting guided reading sessions and small group learning. I soon realised my passion for teaching and made the bold move from nursing into education.

Since then, I’ve earned a Foundation Degree in Teaching Assistants, a BA (Hons) in Education, and a Master’s Degree, including a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Over the years, I’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant, 1:1 SEN support, Speech & Language Assistant, school-led tutor, class teacher, and subject leader.

I now teach full-time in primary education during the day and offer private tuition in the evenings.
